Maddy is a Chicago-based lighting designer and technician, originally born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Maddy loves all things theatre, music, and art, and hopes to continue to expand their design and technical experience with new people in new places for the rest of their life. Maddy's main focus is lighting design and technology, with some experience in stage management and carpentry. Their design practice often focuses on abstraction and intense emotion, with the goal to highlight and uplift the work of their collaborators to tell meaningful stories as a collective. When not working with lights, Maddy loves to hang out with their beloved cat, Midnight Mermista, take photos of birds with their partner, and create funky little arts and crafts for their home.
